Fitra Labs ("we," "us," or "our") builds focused tools for the modern Muslim. Our philosophy is rooted in "Fitra" - the natural state of purity and simplicity. This policy explains how we handle data in our mobile applications (including Simply Quran and Simply Qibla) and on our website, fitralabs.app.

1. Purity of Data

We believe that your spiritual journey is private. Fitra Labs tools are designed to function without requiring you to create an account, provide an email address, or link your social media profiles.

2. Local Data (Your Device)

The core content of our apps is stored and processed locally on your device.

• Reading Habits: We do not track which Surahs or Ayahs you read.
• Bookmarks: Your bookmarks and "Last Read" positions are stored in a local database on your phone and never leave your device.
• Location: For tools like Simply Qibla, your GPS coordinates are used only for mathematical calculations performed on-device. We do not store or transmit your location history.

3. Technical Integrity (Crash Reporting)

To help keep our apps stable across different device models, we use Firebase Crashlytics, a diagnostic crash reporting service provided by Google.

• What is collected: If the app crashes or encounters a major error, a technical diagnostic report may be sent to us. This can include information such as your device model, operating system version, app version, and a "stack trace" of the code at the time of the error.
• What is NOT collected: These reports do not contain your name, your identity, or any of your private app data (like bookmarks).
• Retention: Technical diagnostic data is automatically deleted from Google's servers within 90 days. We use this information solely for debugging and performance optimization.

4. No Ads or Behavioral Tracking

• No Ads: We will never include third-party advertisements in our tools.
• No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data to third parties.
• No Behavioral Analytics: We do not use behavioral analytics to track how you use the app or to build a profile of your habits. Crash reports are used only to diagnose technical issues.

5. Website and Hosting Logs

Our website is hosted using third-party infrastructure. Like most websites, hosting and security providers may process basic request information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and security event data. We do not use this information to profile visitors or run behavioral analytics.

6. Compliance with Malaysian Law (PDPA)

In accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010, we inform you that we do not process personal data for marketing purposes. Where infrastructure or diagnostic providers process technical data on our behalf, we use it only to operate, secure, and improve our website and apps.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our tools or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
